You Haven't Seen Me Since High School or Jerry Looking Through Window refers to a series of videos on TikTok using a CapCut template where Jerry from Tom and Jerry looks through a window, sees an old photograph of a person, rubs his eyes, then looks again to see a new photograph of them. The meme became popularized in January 2023.

Origin

On January 21st, 2023, TikToker^[1] @lumber_jakey posted a video captioned, "POV: you haven't seen me since high school and now we're all in our 20s" using a CapCut template where Jerry from Tom and Jerry approaches a window, looks out it and sees something, then rubs his eyes and looks out the window again and sees another image. The first image in the video is an image of the user in high school and the second image is the user now (shown below). The video gained over 516,000 views in two weeks.

Spread

The meme spread on TikTok over the following weeks. On January 23rd, 2023, TikToker^[2] @josiehamming_ posted a version of the trend, garnering over 461,000 views in a week (shown below, left). On January 28th, TikToker^[3] @papa.donnnnn posted a version of the meme that garnered over 1.6 million views in six days (shown below, right).
