Yo Can I Get a Spot or Get Out! is a viral video of a Grand Theft Auto V roleplayer attempting to park a Lightning McQueen monster truck at a car meet and getting yelled at to leave, with one player whose voice has been compared to Tuco Salamanca from Breaking Bad screaming, "Get out!" The video was originally posted online in April 2023 and became the subject of memes over the following months, including animations and edits in which Tuco's “get out” scream is inserted into new contexts.
Origin
On April 12th, 2023, TikToker[1] @brgaming posted a clip originally uploaded by the Paradise State Roleplay TikTok account (now deleted) in which a GTA V roleplay character drives a Lightning McQueen monster truck up to a car meet and tries to get a parking spot. He is refused, with one player whose voice resembles Tuco Salamanca yelling, "Get out!" The player then returns to the car meet and ruins the place. The clip gained over 184,000 views in a year (shown below).
On May 7th, it was reuploaded to the Paradise State Roleplaying YouTube[2] channel, garnering over 500,000 views in a year.
Spread
The video became the subject of memes over the following months as it continued to spread. On May 4th, 2023, TikToker[3] @ogclutchhhttv posted a clip comparing the voice of the man who screams "get out" to Tuco from Breaking Bad, garnering over 4 million views in a year (shown below, left).
On November 24th, TikToker[4] @cameron_wagner posted a meme labeling various subjects in the video to make a joke about the letter "E" trying to "find a spot on the report card," garnering over 100,000 views in eight months (shown below, right).
On November 25th, 2023, YouTuber[5] Error_ Toonz posted an animation based on the video in which the main subject of the video is represented as Mordecai from Regular Show, garnering over 25,000 views in eight months.
On April 26th, 2024, TikToker[6] @lulu_3b posted an animation based on the audio, garnering over 800,000 views in three months (shown below, left). On April 27th, TikToker[7] @sabbynightmaren posted an animation based on Five Nights at Freddy's that gained over 500,000 views in the same span of time (shown below, right).
On June 18th, YouTuber[8] Enzolinow posted a similar, more detailed animation that gained over 171,000 views in a month (shown below). On June 23rd, TikToker[9] @chandlervsthewrld reposted a section of the video, garnering over 2 million views in a month.
