Origin

On July 2nd, 2024, X^[1] user @justice4glitter posted a collage of pictures from Ye Hao's "Heat Stroke" photoshoot for GQ China^[2] in the June issue. MMScene^[3] website explains the editorial, created by photographer Wintam and styled by Shawngao, explores the intensity of summer heat through bold styling and vibrant imagery, capturing the essence of sultry, sun-soaked days. The post (seen below) amassed over 9 million views and 199,000 likes in three days.

The photo shoot quickly went viral on X, sparking redraws based on Jujutsu Kaisen anime characters. For example, on July 4th, 2024, X^[4] user @n06ara drew Satoru Gojo doing Ye Hao's "Heat Stroke" poses (seen below), which amassed more than 47,000 likes and 8,900 reposts in a day.

Also on July 4th, X^[5] user @thekittyheart drew Ye Hao's poses featuring Midoryia and Bagukou from the My Hero Academia anime. The post (seen below, left) received more than 730 likes and 90 reposts in a day.
