Xiao Xiao's Hairstyle is a TikTok trend inspired by the hairstyle of Xiao Xiao, also known as the Chinese Kick Girl meme. Her unique hair, comprised of high pigtails sinched with numerous rubber bands or hair ties with loose pieces dangling down, was copied and shared in meme videos by Brazilians on TikTok, who called the trend "Penteado Xiao Xiao."

Xiao Xiao's hairstyle trend is inspired by TikTok^[1][2] user @chinesejunkfood2023 series of clips from a longer LIVE in which Xiaoxiao was a guest star, using a memorable outfit and hairstyle. The videos (shown below), posted in mid-September 2023, amassed over 190,000 plays and 4 million, respectively.

Around early October 2023, Xiao Xiao's hairstyle started to be used in a series of memes and comedy skit videos on TikTok. For instance, on October 2nd, 2023, TikTok^[3] user @shiiloh_privv posted a video in which she tried Xiao Xiao's hairstyle on her boyfriend (shown below, left), amassing more than 2.4 million plays and 416,000 likes in a week. On October 6th, TikTok^[4] user @alexis_homs did a Xiao Xiao cosplay outfit (shown below, right), garnering over 6 million plays and 918,000 likes in four days.

On October 4th, TikTok^[5] user @katelynvsorvala uploaded a tutorial video on Xiao Xiao's hairstyle (shown below). The post received roughly 137,000 plays and 4,000 likes in five days.
