Origin

In an interview from 2000, while reflecting on how herself and Kevin Costner chose the song 'I Will Always Love You,' for The Bodyguard film, Whitney Houston remarked "But wow, what a moment. I will never forget. A moment that is most pleasing to me and my career."

On September 14th, 2017, YouTuber RestlessRick published the video. The post received more than 30,000 views in a little over two years.

On December 19th, 2018, Twitter account @reactionvideos_ posted a clip of the interview, which shortly caught on as a reaction. The tweet had garnered 602,000 views, 825 likes and 55 retweets.

Soon after, Stan Twitter users would use either the phrase or the meme to apply it to their favorite celebrities or media. On February 19th, 2019, recording artist Ariana Grande tweeted, "but wow what a moment." The post received more than 67,000 likes and 7,000 retweets in less than one year (shown below).

On March 27th, 2019, Twitter user @tbyarianagb tweeted, "ariana saying fuck the rules and deciding to release music whenever the fuck she wants / it feels right. best decision she ever made." The tweet received more than 486,000 views, 13,000 likes and 1,300 retweets in less than one year (shown below).

On July 21st, Twitter user @nomadsteves edited the clip of Houston into a scene from the film Avengers: Endgame. Within six months, the video received more than 955 likes and 335 retweets (shown below).
