Wow These People Are So Weird, Thank God I'm the Normal One is an exploitable redraw meme based on a single-panel webcomic by artist Mimiyori where every person in a group of people thinks through a shared thought bubble, "Wow. These people are so weird. Thank god I'm the normal one." The original piece of art was posted to X, formerly Twitter, in March 2022 and became the subject of redraws over the following months, replacing the original characters with characters from other fandoms. Mimiyori is also notable for her webcomic Among Us Girl.

Origin

On March 9th, 2022, X^[1] user @_mimiyori posted a piece of artwork showing four characters standing side-by-side, every character thinking, "Wow. These people are so weird. Thank god I'm the normal one," garnering over 1,700 likes in a year (shown below).

One of the earliest known redraws of the image was posted by X^[2] user @tanijrou on March 10th, replacing the characters with Demon Slayer characters, garnering over 2,000 likes in the same span of time (shown below).

Spread

On November 27th, 2022, X^[3] user @MariOrSomething posted a Mob Psycho 100 redraw of the meme, garnering over 14,000 likes in a year (shown below, left). On March 26th, 2023, X^[4] user @SoggusBoggus posted a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure redraw that gained over 8,900 likes in eight months (shown below, right).

On July 6th, Instagram^[5] user akaza.senpai reposted the Demon Slayer version of the meme, garnering over 4,000 likes in four months. On August 28th, u/orgeezuz posted a Bocchi the Rock! version of the meme to /r/BocchiTheRock,^[6] garnering over 2,100 upvotes in three months (shown below).

On October 21st, X^[7] user @RandomMaskedd posted an Amazing Digital Circus version of the meme, garnering over 1,200 likes in a month (shown below).
