Wow, The Fortune Cookies Here Really Are More Accurate refers to a quote and exploitable image macro taken from a 2005 episode of The Simpsons. The meme depicts Homer Simpson reading a fortune cookie to Marge's sister Selma, saying to her in the scene that the fortune cookies in China are more accurate than in the ones in the U.S. Meme creators, originally on Reddit in mid-2021, started replacing the text of Homer's fortune to read humorously accurate statements to their liking.

Redditor Solid_Snark was then the first to make a meme using it on June 18th, posting it to /r/PrequelMemes, ^[3] a subreddit known for its Star Wars centric content. The meme (shown below, right) referenced the Sith never turning Anakin to the Dark Side but rather the Light Side turning Anakin dark, receiving roughly 51,200 upvotes over the course of eight months.

The original meme was reposted to Instagram ^[5] on June 19th by the account starwars_general, earning roughly 42,300 likes in eight months. This led to more Instagram pages using the template going into the remainder of 2021. For instance, on June 27th, 2021, Instagram^[6] account illegal.minecraft.exe posted a version that referenced Minecraft and its developer company Mojang, earning roughly 15,200 likes in eight months (shown below).

The template continued to receive usage within /r/PrequelMemes. For instance, Redditor^[7] Bluemamba48 posted a version on June 30th that received roughly 5,400 upvotes in eight months (shown below, left).
