Wolf Workout refers to a viral video of a guy in a wolf mask leading an exercise group all wearing Kangaroo Jumps shoes, bouncing and doing high kicks to a howling song called "Big Bad Wolf" by Duck Sauce. The original video went viral on Instagram Reels in late April 2024, also spreading on TikTok in May 2024. It was posted by user Edson Palacios (@edsonpalacioss, @edsonshappyworld), who's a cardio instructor from Long Beach, California. TikTokers made memes with the video, predominantly using ViggleAI to rotoscope characters into the wolf instructor's position.

Origin

On April 29th, 2024, Instagram^[1] user Edson Palacios (@edsonshappyworld) posted a video in which he's wearing a wolf mask and leading a cardio group wearing Kangaroo Jumps. In one month, the Reel received roughly 558,300 likes. The song used in the Reel is "Big Bad Wolf" by Duck Sauce.^[2] On May 1st, 2024, he posted the video to his TikTok^[3] where it received 1,400 likes (shown below).

Spread

On May 1st, 2024, TikToker^[4] @maccy721 posted the video with text overlay reading, "Me in maths when someone clicks alpha," receiving over 3.8 million plays and 662,000 likes in three weeks (shown below, left).

Others used the template soon after, like TikToker^[5] @ki_moomoo on May 17th, 2024, who wrote, "middle aged women doing anything BUT the damn workout," gaining over 2.8 million plays and 576,800 likes in one week (shown below, right).

On May 21st, 2024, TikToker^[6] @wobuzaiho used ViggleAI to show the cast of Young Sheldon dancing at George Cooper's Funeral, gaining over 2.2 million plays and 373,800 likes in three days (shown below, left).

On May 23rd, 2024, TikToker^[7] @usersbr5eugr7g repurposed the aforementioned video to parody the idea of having flying cars, gaining over 1.1 million plays and 187,900 likes in a day (shown below, right).
