Origin

On January 11th, 2022, Facebook user Krispen posted that they were leaving the group Muad'Dib's Spicy Memes for Bene Gesserit Teens with a post reading, "I have officially decided to leave this group. Ye'all woke culture ass wagons seem hell bent on making me hate something I love. Bye." The Facebook group is private but reposts have appeared elsewhere on Facebook, such as a repost from the Facebook group Woke Culture Ass-wagons[1] (shown below).

On January 14th, Facebook user Elias Giger then posted the entire context of the post to the group Anakin's Good Ass BBQ and Obi-Wan Dickposting Massage[2] (shown below).

Spread

On January 14th, 2022, the phrase "Woke Culture Ass Wagons" was added to Urban Dictionary [5] by user Silvaus, spreading outside Facebook to other platforms shortly after.

After the post was made, other meme-focused Facebook groups quickly took to using the phrase "Woke Culture Ass Wagons" in various memes, primarily image macros. For example, on January 15th, 2022, user Bob L. Pitts posted a Lord Of The Rings variation to Fool-of-a-took Posting,[3] gaining over 2,200 likes and reactions and 98 shares in two days (shown below, left). On January 17th, Facebook user Dane Kinzer posted a Sephiroth Impaling Mario meme about the spread of the meme to Final Fantasy Shitposting,[4] gaining over 68 likes and reactions in less than 24 hours (shown below, right).
