Wojak's Shower Thoughts refers to a series of memes in which shower thoughts of a female and a male Wojaks are compared against each other, with the memes usually trying to present the female Wojak in an unfavorable way. The format gained a notable presence on Facebook starting in late March 2020.

Origin

While the images of a Wojaks standing under a shower have been circulated earlier on 4chan and other sites, the comparison format did not see spread until late March 2020. On March 24th, 2020, Facebook^[1] group Ritardoantichità posted the earliest found meme based on the format, with a female Wojak being compared against the statue of the Roman emperor Julian (shown below). The post received over 800 reactions and 1,100 shares in three weeks.

Spread

On March 25th, 2020, Facebook^[2] user Ileiad posted the first known version of the meme in which the female Wojak was compared against a male Wojak (shown below). The post received over 320 reactions and 240 shares in three weeks, with a March 27th, 2020, repost by Autofellatio Facebook^[3] page gaining over 1,300 reactions and 480 shares.

In the following days, the format received a notable spread on Facebook, with memes also spreading to Twitter and Reddit. For example, an April 10th, 2020, meme by Redditor^[4] AYYYYYYY1W received over 17,600 upvotes in /r/okbuddyretard in three days.
