Wingstop Girl refers to a viral video of a woman named Angela LoMastro screaming to her friends about how she wants to go to Wingstop, claiming that she hasn't eaten in 10 hours. The video was originally posted to TikTok by Amanda Chiarelli in March 2020 and gained viral spread on social media. It went viral again in 2023, inspiring remixes.

Origin

On or just prior to March 6th, 2020, Amanda Chiarelli (@amanda.paige17 on TikTok,^[1] @amandaaa.chiarelliii on Instagram^[2]) posted a video in which her friend Angela LoMastro,^[10] from the passenger seat of a car, screams at her friends about how she wants to go to the restaurant Wingstop. In the video, she screams that she just worked for 10 hours and ate nothing all day. It is unclear how many interactions the video gained as the account is currently private (reupload shown below).

Spread

The video gained viral spread in 2020. On March 6th, 2020, the Barstool Sports Facebook^[3] page posted the video, garnering over 3 million views and 23,000 reactions in four years. On the same day, it was posted to /r/PublicFreakout,^[4] garnering over 41,000 upvotes in the same span of time. On March 9th, Chiarelli posted a series of images to Instagram^[5] of herself and her friend group at Wingstop, writing in the description, "ALL WE WANT IS WING STOP‼️" garnering over 2,600 likes in four years (shown below).

Some time after the viral video was uploaded, Chiarelli posted a duet to the video in which LoMastro eats Wingstop while watching the video. The video was reuploaded to YouTube^[6] on September 28th, 2021, garnering over 31,000 views in three years (shown below, left).

On July 12th, 2023, YouTuber^[7] and musician Drew on the Kit posted a remix of the video where he sets the video to metal music, garnering over 37 million views in 10 months (shown below, right). On July 14th, the video was posted to /r/TikTokCringe,^[8] garnering over 25,000 upvotes in the same span of time.

On November 21st, TikToker^[9] and musician @musicalmemes_x posted another remix where they play piano over the original viral video, garnering over 415,000 views in six months (shown below, left). On March 7th, 2024, TikToker^[11] @angela.rose12, the woman in the viral video, posted a recreation of the video in celebration of its four-year anniversary, garnering over 19 million views in two months (shown below, right).
