"Will Bite" Dog refers to a video of a small white dog or puppy in an animal shelter behind a glass door with a red sign displaying "will bite" in white letters. The original video was later screenshot and cropped for use in memes, gaining virality in October 2025 after it became a meme as the subject of redraws in which artists swapped various pop culture characters for the dog pouting in the cage. Some memes also changed the wording on the sign.

Origin

On February 17th, 2025, the TikTok^[1] account @barstoolsports reuploaded a video of a tiny white dog in a shelter behind the glass cage door with a sign written "will bite" next to it. The original video was from TikToker @leslieee.hue but has since been deleted. The video received more than 790,000 likes in 11 months.

On March 17th, 2025, the Facebook^[2] page "dogecore" uploaded a still image from the video, garnering over 210 likes, 50 shares and 10 comments in 10 months.

Spread

The image of the puppy sitting by the glass door became the subject of redraws and memes in late October 2025, with artists using it to draw fan art of other characters in place of the dog.

For example, on October 26th, 2025, Twitter / X^[3] user @hedgehog0516 uploaded a Hatsune Miku fan art redraw using the image. The post received more than 8,500 reposts and 122,000 likes in two months.

On October 30th, 2025, Twitter / X^[4] user @KW7MD8FEWT7lMXx uploaded a Zenless Zone Zero meme using the image as reference. Instead of "Will Bite," the sign was changed to "Will burn." The post received more than 1,700 reposts and 20,000 likes in two months.
