Which Bomboclaat Dog I Am?, also known as Which Bomboclaat Dawg I Am?, is a viral TikTok sound of a man with a Jamaican accent using a "What Dog Are You?" TikTok filter and asking the camera which "bomboclaat dog" he is. The original video was posted in June 2023 by Jamacain TikToker Mr. Bomboclaut (@flyguyyagga). The sound was quickly used as a slideshow audio for photo slideshows on the app, gaining slowed and sped-up remixes, akin to Goofy Ahh sounds in general. Many of the videos that used the sound were Zawg and Schlawg memes as well as Ref Catches Basketball memes.

Origin

On June 22nd, 2023, TikToker^[1] @flyguyyagga posted a video in which he used a "What Dogg Are You?" filter, asking the camera, "Which bomboclaat dog I am?" Over the course of two months, the video received roughly 15.7 million plays and 1.7 million likes (shown below).

The first-discovered variant usage of the sound was a video uploaded by TikToker^[2] @jettp on June 23rd, 2023, which sped up and slowed down the original audio, adding it to a Zawg and Schlawg meme. The video received roughly 617,400 plays and 83,500 likes in two months (shown below).

Spread

Following the virality of both the original TikTok^[1] and @jettp's TikTok,^[2] usage of both TikTok sounds^[3][4] grew going into July 2023. Memes using the audios peaked in early July 2023. For instance, on July 10th, 2023, TikToker^[5] @frodothegoodboy8 used the variant TikTok sound,^[5] making a joke about a dog paying bills, gaining roughly 2.2 million plays and 371,800 likes in one month (shown below, left). On July 12th, 2023, TikToker^[6] @madebyplee posted a stylized edit of the original, gaining roughly 2.1 million plays and 266,900 likes in one month (shown below, right).

Going into August 2023, the sounds continued to amass usage, whereby on August 4th, 2023, @jettp's TikTok sound^[4] had amassed over 61,100 videos.
