Where You Going Hemmy? also known as Where You Going Hemmi? refers to a scene in the Comedy Central cartoon Legends of Chamberlain Heights in which the white blonde character Milton, also known as Milk, is on an "Air Persian" flight with Arab Middle Eastern characters and says to one he's sitting next to, "Where you going hemmy?" when he tries to exit the row to use the bathroom. According to fans of the show, Milk says, "Hemmy," instead of "homie." The scene comes from season 1, episode 4, titled "Inspired by Isis." It went viral on TikTok in late 2025, inspiring video edit memes and usage as an exploitable video element.

Origin

On October 12th, 2016, season 1, episode 4 of Comedy Central's Legends of Chamberlain Heights titled "Inspired by Isis" aired on American TV. In the episode, the character Milk flies to the Middle East after his step-dad enrolls him in a foreign exchange program, swapping places with a female student named Isis.[1]

In one scene, Milk is aboard an "Air Persian" flight and says to the male passenger next to him, "Where you going, hemmy?" The scene was notably posted by TikToker[2] @marsmix__ on November 21st, 2025, gaining over 391,500 likes in 10 days.

According to definitions on Urban Dictionary, [3] "hemmy," or "hemmie," is Milk's substitute for "homie" because of his "step-Jew" accent.

On November 22nd, 2025, TikToker[4] @mexican_ech shared a video that followed the same format as the Big Forehead Homers Guide and Domer meme, in which four images of Milk were shown, each accompanied by the "Where You Going Hemmy?" soundbite and checkmark symbols. Over nine days, the video received over 218,500 likes.

Also on November 22nd, TikToker[5] @k1ller.×3 posted a video that followed the same format, gaining over 45,100 likes over the same timeframe.

Later on November 22nd, 2025, TikToker[7] @likealkida shared a lip dub video of himself, set to an audio of Milk saying, "Where You Going Hemmy?" and other "hemmy" clips from the show, paired with the text overlay caption, "Me every 5 secs." Over nine days, the video gained roughly 184,000 likes.

On November 23rd, TikToker[6] @i.like.monkeys12 posted a video slideshow that showed images of the main characters from Legends of Chamberlain Heights with a text overlay caption reading, "Me and my hemmys." Over eight days, the video received over 35,900 likes.

On November 29th, 2025, TikToker[8] @jxyb3sy shared a video of himself lip dubbing the "Where You Going Hemmy?" audio, captioned, "The type of lingo I'm bringing to school on Monday." Over two days, it received roughly 225,200 likes.
