On October 24th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @.blitzerzz shared a video clip from a Fortnite game, in which he asked a fellow player, "Wait, where you from, bro?" The kid on the other end responds, "Michael," making the other players in the lobby laugh. The video's text overlay caption read, "Bro's from Michael," and the description read, "Only in Michael," which riffed on the Only in Ohio meme. Over two months, the clip received over 105,400 likes.

In the following days of late October 2025, TikToker @.blitzerzz built on the meme by sharing reedits of the original video.

For instance, on October 24th, 2025, @.blitzerzz shared a TikTok^[2] that used an AI voice that asked, "Did this blud really just say he's from Michael?" It also showed a Google Maps screenshot of the unincorporated community of Michael, Illinois.^[3] Over two months, the video received over 49,400 likes.

Other TikTokers shared Michael memes in the following weeks.
