"Where is Charles Lee?" is a memorable quote from the Action video game Assassin's Creed 3, frequently said by the main character Connor Kenway in his hunt to find Charles Lee. Due to the obsessive nature and delivery of the quote, it has since become an injoke among fans of the series.

Origin

In Assassin's Creed 3, main character Connor goes on a hunt for revenge against the templars, primarily Charles Lee, who he believes caused the burning of his village and subsequently the death of his mother. Connor will constantly search for Lee by asking his whereabouts towards several figures throughout the story.

Spread

On November 30th, 2012, youtuber "XenomorphQueen" uploaded a video titled "WHERE IS CHARLES LEE?!", featuring a montage of all the scenes in which Connor yells out the quote or similar with Yakety Sax for the background music. As of March 24th, 2015, the video has gained over 98,000 views. On April 3rd, 2014, redditor KayRay1994 submitted a video called "Where is Charles Lee" on /r/assassinscreed, which gained 206 upvotes as March 24th, 2015.^[1]
