Where Did You Find the NES for Nintendo Switch is a viral video of a child pointing to a section of a multimedia art piece depicting Saint Carlo Acutis made out of pieces of technology and asking in a thick accent, "Where did you find the NES for Nintendo Switch? I have been trying to find the Wii U for years." The video was posted by TikToker @johnnyvrba10 in October 2025 and went viral on the app in late December 2025, becoming the subject of memes throughout January 2026, including Accuracy Reenactment memes, recreations, brainrot edits and more.

Origin

On October 10th, 2025, TikToker[1] @johnnyvrba10 posted a video where he shows a piece of multimedia art that he made of Saint Carlo Acutis, known as the "patron saint of the internet" and "God's influencer," to a family in Italy.

As he is explaining the artwork and how he used cables, wires, etc. to represent Acutis' love of technology, a child chimes in to ask a question. He points at a portion of the painting that includes an NES controller and asks in a thick accent, "Where did you find the NES for Nintendo Switch? I have been trying to find the Wii U for years." The child goes on to express how much he wants a Wii U so he can play Yoshi's Wooly World.

The video gained over 860,000 views in three months.



The video became the subject of memes starting in late December 2025. One of the earliest examples is a brainrot edit posted by TikToker[2] @a.ramos___ on December 30th, 2025, in which it is combined with several other brainrot meme videos, garnering over 2.8 million views in a week.

The Where Did You Find the NES for Nintendo Switch video continued to inspire memes in early January 2026 as it spread further.

On January 2nd, 2026, TikToker[3] @hihi_7763729 posted an edit based on the video that gained over 190,000 views in four days.



On January 3rd, TikToker[4] @cadio.cc posted an edit that alters the voices in the clip to resemble those from Beavis and Butthead, gaining over 161,000 views in three days.



On January 4th, 2026, TikToker[5] @ayekay_ posted a comedy skit based on the video, garnering over 1.5 million views in two days.
