The earliest known notable meme using the phrase "GOAT is Washed" is a moldy meme featuring a poster for the 2017 animated Disney movie Cars. The meme was first posted only sometime before May 20th, 2023 (seen below, left), with a cropped version appearing on Instagram^[1] page @yandhi_memes on May 20th (seen below, right).

The phrase "My GOAT washed" gained considerable usage in May 2023, as seen in posts by X users @big_business_^[2] and @didjesusdrop^[3] from May 31st, 2023. A May 24th, 2023 post^[4] by @ChefTrillie read, "My goat beat the washed allegations," gathering over 2,000 likes in ten months (seen below).

A November 5th, 2023 post by X^[5] user @spud_senor gathered over 2,000 likes with a caption that read, "this is ACTUALLY finding out your goat's washed" (seen below).

A January 3rd, 2023 TikTok^[6] by @pian3t used the "When You Find Out Your GOAT Washed" image macro, gathering over 37,000 plays and 6,000 likes in a month (seen below).

On January 20th, X^[7] user @hausofdecline posted a literal meme, posting an image of a goat in a bath saying, "My goat is so washed." The post gathered over 12,000 likes in three weeks (seen below).
