About

When You Beat The X Allegations refers to an exploitable image macro and phrasal template where meme creators fill in the blank on what type of allegations they've allegedly beaten. The original meme uses an image of Snoop Dogg praying at trial but later iterations began to use the meme as a catchphrase, captioning other images with it. The meme was first posted to Twitter in late June 2021.

Origin

The original meme was first posted to Twitter on June 25th, 2021, by Twitter[1] user @UnkleDellbot. The meme (shown below) uses an image[2] of rapper Snoop Dogg on trial in 1996 praying and embracing his bodyguard after he was found not guilty in regards to a murder case. @UnkleDellbot captioned the image, "When you beat the gay allegations." His tweet received roughly 11,300 likes over the course of five months.

Spread

The meme was reposted to Instagram [3] on June 25th but received more attention when it was reposted again on Twitter a week later. On July 3rd, 2021, Twitter[4] user @blxcksaint tweeted the image with the caption, "Young Thug in 2016." The tweet (shown below, left) received roughly 6,600 likes over the course of four months. On July 5th, 2021, Twitter[5] user @dayiewis2 also reposted the image captioning it, "Zendaya," referring to the actress. The tweet (shown below, right) received roughly 88,800 likes over the course of four months.

On July 5th, 2021, Twitter[6] user @kftwt posted the first known exploited variant of the original image. The meme replaced the word "gay" with "somali." The tweet (shown below, left) received roughly 1,200 likes over the course of four months. Instagram[7] meme page @patiasfantasyworld posted another exploited variant on July 6th, adding to the trend. This meme (shown below, right) replaced "gay" with "piss kink" and received roughly 14,400 likes over four months.

An exploited variant replacing the word "gay" with "who farted" was made by Twitter account @marxsmadness on July 7th, 2021. Although their Twitter account has since been deleted, a screenshot was reposted to Instagram[8] (shown below), where it received roughly 2,800 likes.

Instagram[9] meme account @boomer.jim used the meme as a catchphrase, pairing it with another image in a meme they posted on July 15th, 2021. The meme (shown below, left) received roughly 11,900 likes over the course of four months. On October 3rd, 2021, Instagram[10] account @dopecontent.inc posted the first known version of the meme using the caption, "When you don't beat the allegations."
