On February 16th, 2023, TikToker^[1] @robin_rva posted a video captioned, "When I ask my boyfriend to come cuddle me but I forget how muscular he is" set to an original sound consisting of audio in which someone sounds like they're drowning or struggling. In the video, a man lays on top of his partner on bed, the man underneath pretending to struggle for air. The video gained over 1.2 million views in just under two years.

On February 27th, X^[2] user @avoeia_ posted a redraw of a frame from the video, drawing the men in the video as characters from the anime series Trigun, garnering over 10,000 likes and 1,500 reposts in around two years.

On November 5th, X^[6] artist @Pink_OkaZel posted a redraw of the meme referencing The Legend of Zelda, in which Zelda is drawn crushing Link, garnering over 10,000 likes and 700 reposts in two days.
