What Do Your Statuses Mean is an image macro social game in which people respond to a set of statuses from the Internet messaging application Discord with what each status indicates about their real-world actions.

Origin

On June 30th, 2020, Twitter^[1] user @nyappl_ tweeted, "what do your statuses mean." The tweet includes an image that features various statuses, including Online, Idle, Do Not Disturb and Invisible. Next to each status, the author writes, "I'm asleep." The post received more than 27,000 likes and 14,000 retweets in less than 24 hours (shown below).

Spread

Following the post, people became sharing the tweet and adding their responses. For example, Twitter^[2] user @diP2S shared the tweet, only adding "I am on Discord next to Do Not Disturb. The post received more than 1,400 likes and 180 retweets in less than 24 hours (shown below, left).

Throughout the evening, others shared examples and the phrase "Do Not Disturb" trended on Twitter (examples below, center and right).
