Well, Well, Well, Not So Easy to Find a Mayor That Doesn't Suck Shit, Huh? is a phrasal meme format based on a 2021 headline by satirical news website The Onion. The headline, which is a fake quote by former New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, achieved popularity as a meme format in 2024, with users recaptioning it and replacing the photograph of De Blasio and the memes often imagining various disliked public figures experiencing schadenfreude upon witnessing their successors fail.

On June 22nd, 2021, satirical news website The Onion^[1] published a satirical article titled with a fake quote by former New York City mayor Bill de Blasio: "De Blasio: ‘Well, Well, Well, Not So Easy To Find A Mayor That Doesn’t Suck Shit, Huh?’". On that day, The Onion shared the article on X^[2] / Twitter, with the post garnering over 3,000 reposts and 17,000 likes in three years (shown below).

On November 2nd, 2023, X^[3] user @DanRShafer posted the earliest found meme based on the headline, a meme about basketball coach Mike Budenholzer that received over 120 likes in one year.

On February 16th, 2024, X^[4] user @HarrisonQuinnO posted a meme referencing the 2010 and the 2024 live action adaptations of Avatar: The Last Airbender that gained over 5,100 reposts and 62,000 likes in nine months (shown below).

On September 26th, 2024, following the indictment of New York City mayor Eric Adams on federal corruption charges, X^[5] user @ditzkoff posted a snippet of The Onion article, which received over 1,900 reposts and 28,000 likes in two months.
