About

We Saiyans Have No Limits, continued Let's Charge Together With Full Power, refers to the phrases said by Dragon Ball characters Goku and Vegeta in the intro animation for the card "Saiyan God SS Goku & Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta" in the mobile game Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle. In August 2024, the catchphrase became a meme in the game's community due to the general consensus that the card isn't very good, and in the Dragon Ball's larger community, being used as a spam comment and inspiring various memes.

Origin

On August 27th, 2024, card Super Saiyan God SS Goku & Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta was released for the mobile video game Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle. The opening intro[1][2] for the card has Saiyan character Vegeta saying that Saiyans have no limits, with Goku telling Vegeta to "charge together with full power" (English version shown below). On August 27th, the official TikTok[3] account for the game uploaded a video of the intro.

- We Saiyans have no limits!
- Let's charge together at full power!

On August 10th, 2024, X[9] user @Ch4tterFo0L posted the earliest found notable meme referencing the general notion that the card isn't very good, which contrasted humorously with Vegeta stating that "Saiyans have no limits." The video, a Fortnite gameplay of players with Goku and Vegeta skins getting defeated, received over 1,000 reposts and 8,400 likes in two months (shown below).

On August 14th, 2024, TikTok[4] user @db_artie posted a clip of the Japanese version of the intro which transitioned into the characters getting promptly defeated by another in-game character. The video (shown below) garnered over 422,600 views and 61,300 likes in six weeks.

Spread

On August 15th, 2024, TikTok[5] user @bigboidb posted a sped-up video of Super Saiyan God SS Goku & Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta getting defeated DBZ: Dokkan Battle, captioned "We Saiyans have no limits!" that received over 21,000 views and 1,400 likes in six weeks (shown below).

In the following weeks, @bigboidb continued posting various memes about the card which referenced the catchphrase. For example, on August 18th, 2024, @bigboidb[6] posted a collection of four memes about the card that received over 44,000 views and 5,200 likes in six weeks (example shown below).

Following the initial spread on TikTok, the catchphrase achieved popularity as a spam comment in the Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle community. For example, on September 9th, 2024, Redditor sammyjohns11037 posted a video of the comment being spammed in the DBZ: Dokkan Battle Discord, with the post gaining over 60 upvotes in the /r/DokkanBattleCommunity[7] subreddit in three weeks (shown below).

Through September 2024, the catchphrase saw spread further spread outside into the general Dragon Ball fandom, with users posting memes and making references. For example, on September 27th, 2024, X[8] user @JMotion0 posted a video of the animation playing on their GPU card, which received over 740 reposts and 6,300 likes in four days (shown below).
