We Got Prime Boys, continued We Got Prime, refers to a viral TikTok video from TikToker @shanajungkrant (also known as @mrs_shana27) who recorded her young son singing about having Prime Energy Drink in the car. The video was perceived as cringe by many on the platform, who made memes, remixes and recreations of the song and viral video in May 2023. The video added to the growing perception of Gen Alpha boys (specifically British and American boys) being obsessed with the energy drink by Logan Paul and KSI.

Origin

On May 8th, 2023, TikToker^[1] @mrs_shana27 (formerly known as @shanajungkrant) posted a video showing her son in the backseat of her car, holding various Prime Energy products and singing an original song that reiterated, "We got Prime boys. We got Prime," and also namedropped various flavors like blue raspberry and ice pop, among others. Over the course of one week, the video gained roughly 4.6 million plays and 379,200 likes (shown below).

Soon after the video was uploaded on May 8th, 2023, TikTokers started posting memes that used the video. For instance, the earliest discovered variant usage was uploaded by TikToker^[2] @mbappebetter69 on May 8th, using a Patrick Bateman Walking CapCut template and gaining roughly 403,000 plays and 26,300 likes in one week (shown below).

Going into May 2023, more memes using the video surfaced on the platform. For instance, on May 9th, 2023, TikToker^[3] @the.d00m.slayer18 posted a video that added stylized lyrics to the original TikTok, gaining roughly 277,100 plays and 10,400 likes in six days (shown below, left). On May 10th, 2023, TikToker^[4] @plasticluv3r namedropped the rock band Metallica in an "X if they were a good band" meme, gaining roughly 295,100 plays and 42,100 likes in five days (shown below, right).

On May 14th, 2023, TikToker^[5] @edmondx (the creator of the "1 2 Buckle My Shoe" meme) posted a video in which he recreated the original video by sitting in the backseat of a car and singing the "We Got Prime Boys" song. In one day, the video gained roughly 1.4 million plays and 172,700 likes (shown below).

In the days that followed, more TikTokers^[6][7] posted their own recreations of the original video, ranging from other Gen Alpha-aged boys to older Zoomers.
