About

Wanna Chat About Flow Tell a Fella Come See Me, continued Boy You Know I'm Magic On the Mic Houdini, refers to lyrics from the so-called Chrava Song which is the British rap song "Just How You Like It" by K.A.D. and Kak Hatt which became a meme on TikTok in 2023, heavily associated with the slang term Charva (or "Chav") and Keep It Lemon. The song was widely popularized by Black British TikToker Kay the jeweller (@koolkidkstar) who dubbed himself "Chocolate Charva" and filmed many videos with the song at pubs. The song was also made well-known by a viral video of four men dancing to the song with one man having his butt out. Many replicated the dance video with their own groups of four.

Origin

On January 15th, 2021, British house musician Kak Hatt released the song "Just How You Like It" with British MC K.A.D. rapping on the track.[1] The song was uploaded to YouTube[2] on January 15th, 2021, where it gained roughly 3.9 million views and 33,000 likes in two years (shown below).

The song gained general usage as a TikTok sound[3] as early as August 2021.[4] However, memetic and parody usage of the song didn't surface until early 2023, following earnest videos uploaded by charva-like TikTokers, the earliest known being a video posted by TikToker[5] @m.cadzz on February 19th, 2023, which received roughly 653,700 plays and 46,500 likes in eight months (shown below, left).

Due to @m.cadzz's seemingly earnest video and others like it posted in February 2023,[6] parody usage ensued. The earliest known parody usage was posted by TikToker[7] @amran.sanghera on March 13th, 2023, gaining roughly 587,100 plays and 63,700 likes in seven months (shown below, right).

Spread

Seemingly earnest usage from so-called charvas on TikTok persisted in March 2023, such as a video posted by TikToker[8] @eliotamison on March 19th, 2023, gaining roughly 1.9 million views and 146,200 likes in seven months (shown below, left). Parody usage also ensued, such as a video posted by TikToker[9] @milzzjo on March 30th, in which she was wearing a charva costume, gaining roughly 3 million plays and 291,000 likes in seven months (shown below, right).

In late 2023, the song became increasingly notable, specifically due to TikToker @koolkidkstar who first used the song on September 29th, 2023, in a TikTok[10] that gained roughly 2.2 million plays and 276,700 likes in 19 days (shown below, left). His videos with the song became increasingly viral as he dubbed himself the "Chocolate Charva," evident in a TikTok[11] posted by him on October 7th, receiving roughly 16 million plays and 2.1 million likes in 11 days (shown below, right).

On September 23rd, 2023, TikToker[12] @jbchopppp posted a video with the sound, showing him and three friends dressed like charvas doing a dance to the song, gaining roughly 6.8 million plays and 782,900 likes in three weeks (shown below, left). The video was parodied by TikToker[13] @nizzythakidd on September 30th, with one person showing their butt, gaining roughly 17 million plays and 2.2 million likes in 18 days (shown below, right).

Going into October 2023, the four-person dance video was replicated by other TikTokers.[14] Also, by October 18th, 2023, the song's primary TikTok sound[3] had amassed roughly 87,100 posts using it.
