It is unclear when @soapgod first posted the video, as she has deleted her TikTok account sometime after the post was made, though it appears to have been in spring or summer 2020. The earliest known repost of the video was on July 12th, 2020, by YouTuber Brent (shown below), which received over 152,000 views and 5,000 likes in roughly a year and a half.

On August 3rd, 2020, YouTuber OGLF posted the most popular repost of the original video, gaining over 6.1 million views and 287,000 likes in roughly a year and a half (shown below).

Over the following several months, the video was widely reposted on Reddit, appearing in subreddits including /r/cringetopia,^[1] /r/funny^[2] and /r/shitposting.^[3] The video also inspired some parodies. For example, on February 7th, 2021, YouTuber DaGooseMan posted an animated version of the video, gaining over 61,000 views in one year (shown below, left). On September 13th, user elie posted a video showing an image macro of an anime girl saying the line, gaining over 2,300 views in roughly four months (shown below, right).
