Venom Horse is the colloquial name of a character revealed in the trailer for the 2024 film Venom: The Last Dance, a sequel and conclusion to the live-action Venom franchise. In the trailer, the alien symbiote Venom takes over a horse, morphing into its shape and galloping while Eddie Brock (played by Tom Hardy) rides on its back. The moment drew significant excitement from fans, who voiced their favor for the character and made memes about and drew fan art of Venom Horse in June 2024.

Origin

On June 3rd, 2024, Marvel Comics released the trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, gaining over 2.6 million views on YouTube in two days (shown below). At the end of the teaser, the alien symbiote Venom takes over the body of a horse and gallops away with actor Tom Hardy holding onto its back.

Spread

After the trailer was released, many online expressed their excitement for the scene at the end, and the image of Venom in the shape of a horse was dubbed "Venom Horse." For example, on June 3rd, 2024, Twitter / X user @vnmzlvr^[1] expressed that "Venom Horse" was "the coolest thing I've ever seen," gaining over 1,000 retweets and 6,600 likes in two days (shown below).

Also on June 3rd, Uproxx^[2] covered how many online expressed that the "Venom Horse" was enough of a hook to get them to see the movie.

The character also led to the creation of memes on social media. For example, on June 4th, 2024, Twitter user @The_Whar^[3] posted a How Hungry parody with Eddie Brock and Venom, gaining over 6,500 retweets and 80,000 likes in one day (shown below, left).

On Reddit, user MyTimeToScanNFT posted a Reaction Guys meme comparing their reaction to Deadpool 2 and the Venom Horse, gaining over 40 points in two days in the subreddit /r/Morbius.^[4]

The character was also quickly drawn in a significant amount of NSFW fan art on social media.
