Vacation Juice is an item added into Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp in June of 2019. The drink appears to be a thinly-veiled reference to alcohol, and grew popular as a joke on Twitter after a user shared a video of Isabelle acting inebriated after consuming the item.
On June 28th, 2019, an Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp update added the item "Vacation Juice" to the game.[1]
On July 4th, 2019, Twitter user @luulubuu tweeted a video of Isabelle acting inebriated after imbibing "vacation juice," gaining over 39,000 retweets and 142,000 likes (shown below).
The popularity of the video led users to make jokes about the item in the game. User @hnnibi[2] tweeted that "vacation juice" is like a euphemism a mom would call her margarita in front of her child, gaining over 240 retweets and 2,400 likes (shown below, left). User @Martin_Skywalk[3] joked they would be calling all alcoholic beverages "vacation juice" from now on (shown below, right).
Others began posting fan art of Isabelle with the juice. For example, Twitter user @MajorKaylen[4] posted art that gained over 7,400 retweets and 21,000 likes (shown below, left). User @Frejann_senpai[5] posted art that gained over 20 retweets and 100 likes (shown below, right). The jokes were covered by Polygon[4] and Daily Dot.[5]
