Two Turntables and a Microphone, also known as 2 Turntables and a Microphone, refers to a soundbite from a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pranking video by TikToker and YouTuber 1maginexd, who trolled and rage baited other players by replaying their voices to make them rage quit. Another player in the lobby says the catchphrase, "Two turntables and a microphone," which 1maginexd clips and replays repeatedly. The original video is from 2023, however, the soundbite didn't become a meme until April 2025, when it became a subject in a series of brainrot memes on TikTok. Meme creators played the audio at random during video memes, combining it with other rage bait clips like "I Actually Don't Speak English" and "You Wasted Money on a Money Board."
Origin
On December 16th, 2023, TikToker[1] @1maginexd posted a clip of themself trolling other players in a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game by clipping their voices and replaying them. In the clip, someone says, "Two turntables and a microphone." Over two years, the video received roughly 287,900 likes (shown below).
Spread
On March 26th, 2025, TikToker[2] @copyrjiihzw reposted the original video's audio, overlaying it on top of Rocket League gameplay. In a month, the video received roughly 39,600 likes.
The video sparked new interest in the original. For instance, on April 1st, TikToker[3] @idkprobablysquidden posted a fake Spotify lyrics page with the Two Turntables and a Microphone catchphrase repeated multiple times. Over three weeks, it received roughly 32,600 likes (shown below).
On April 11th, 2025, TikToker[4] @.swim._ posted a "Top 5 Rage Baits" list that listed Two Turntables and a Microphone at the number one spot. Over 10 days, the video received roughly 43,600 likes (shown below).
On April 12th, TikToker[5] @gyrozeppeli.com posted a video of Instagram user @yungtrip__ singing, replacing his voice with the Two Turntables and a Microphone soundbite. Over nine days, the video received roughly 124,300 likes (shown below).
