Twenty One Pilots' "Level of Concern" is a 2020 song by American musical duo Twenty One Pilots which was released during the coronavirus outbreak. The song, which touched upon quarantining and social distancing, was released with a music video that sparked memes, commentary and fan art on Twitter and Reddit.

Origin

On April 9th, 2020, Twenty One Pilots released their official music video for their new song "Level of Concern" to YouTube (shown below). The video gained over 9.7 million views and 934,000 likes in four days.

Spread

On April 10th, 2020, Redditor Terror-Byte uploaded a two-paneled object labeling meme out of screenshots taken from the music video to r/TwentyWunPilots[3] (shown below, left). The post garnered over 290 points (100% upvoted) in three days. That same day, Redditor Blayde_B208 used the format which features one member at a mailbox and the other in the distance to r/memeeconomy[4] (shown below, right).

On April 10th, Twitter user @samreekers[5] uploaded art combining one member of Twenty One Pilots with Mike Wazowski Sulley Face Swap with the caption, "let’s be honest…would you trust him with your level of concern? #cliqueart #LevelOfConcern" (shown below). The tweet gained over 6,000 likes and 640 retweets in three days. Alt Press,[1] Pop Buzz[2] and Variety[6] published articles about the song's release.
