Trans Wario Comic is a webcomic by WokelyCorrect in which an overweight man portrayed as pretending to be a trans woman who resembles Wario is confronted for having an erection while in a women's locker room. The comic was posted to X (Twitter) in late January 2024 and became the subject of photoshops altering various aspects of the comic, including the caption. In particular, a photoshop turning the comic from anti-trans to pro-trans went viral after being posted to the /r/bonehurtingjuice subreddit by u/GibranYG.

Origin

On January 25th, 2024, X^[1] user and webcomic artist @WokelyCorrect posted a webcomic in which an overweight trans woman, portrayed as a man pretending to be a trans woman, is confronted by a woman in the locker room. She calls the person "sir" and they correct her, claiming they go by "ma'am." She then asks the person why they have an erection. The comic gained over 18,000 likes in a week (shown below). Commenters compared the look of the character to Wario from the Super Mario.

Spread

The comic became the subject of edits over the following days. On January 30th, 2024, X^[2] user @StageCraftBeast posted an edit that gained over 300 likes in three days (shown below, left). On the same day, u/GibranYG posted an edit of the comic to /r/bonehurtingjuice^[3] in which the woman voices her support for Wario, garnering over 20,200 upvotes in two days (shown below, right).

The version of the comic by u/GibranYG gained viral spread and was reposted to /r/196,^[4] /r/traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2^[5] and /r/trans.^[6] On February 1st, it was reposted by X^[7] user @CococonutGun, garnering over 80,000 likes in a day. That day, X^[8] user @azumadeline quote reposted it, writing, "love this post but wario would absolutely not give a single shit and go into the mens bathroom regardless," garnering over 7,900 likes in a day (shown below).
