Touch Me While Your Bros Play Grand Theft Auto refers to a lyric from singer Taylor Swift's song "So High School" from her 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department, which references the Grand Theft Auto video game series. Following the release of the album in April 2024, the lyric went viral on social media, inspiring jokes and memes.

On April 19th, 2024, the singer-songwriter Taylor Swift released her eleventh studio album The Tortured Poets Department. On the double version of the album, titled The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology,[1] track 22 "So High School" contains the following lyric:

Truth, dare, spin bottles
You know how to ball, I know Aristotle
Brand new, full throttle
Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto

On April 19th, 2024, X[2] / Twitter user @marie_kohn posted a screenshot of the lyric, commenting, "…?" The post gained over 8,600 reposts and 69,000 likes in one day (shown below).

Spread

On April 19th, 2024, the lyric received viral spread online as it became a subject of jokes and memes. For example, on that day, X[3] user @LaTayMexicana posted an Awkward Look Monkey Puppet meme that received over 750 reposts and 9,300 likes in one day (shown below, left).

Later that day, X[4] user @tinylittlehomie posted a screenshot of the lyric with the caption, "34 year old woman" in reference to Swift's age. The post (shown below, right) garnered over 4,800 reposts and 70,000 likes in one day.

Later on April 19th, 2024, X[5] user @airbagged posted a Jimmy Flipping Off Tracy meme referencing the lyric that gained over 4,700 reposts and 64,000 likes in one day (shown below).
