Topher TikTok or TopherTok refers to a young boy named Topher who appears in TikToker @allycat.03's videos. Topher became known for his hyperactive and boisterous personality in December 2022, inspiring users to react to his viral videos through Duets and Stitches. People also started editing his clips into compilations, fancams, memes and comedic videos, with a clip of Topher yelling, "Y'all already know who I am, my name's Topher," gaining particular virality. While trending online in January 2023, he also became known simply as the TikTok Kid for those unfamiliar with his exact name.

Origin

On July 29th, 2021, TikToker^[1] @allycat.03 posted a video of her younger brother Topher participating in a trend where photos are taken in various points on the screen. At one point, Topher flips the camera off as a photo is taken. The video (shown below) garnered over 364,000 views and is Topher's first known appearance on the app.

Topher continued to make appearances on the channel over the following months. For example, on April 18th, 2022, the TikToker^[2] posted a video of Topher taking the Sprite Challenge, where participants chug Sprite and try not to burp, garnering over 29.9 million views in nine months (shown below, left). On December 24th, the TikToker^[3] posted a video where each member of the family says which family member they would warn someone about before being introduced into the family, with two people saying Topher, garnering over 21.1 million views in a week (shown below, right).

In the following days, TikTokers began going viral reacting to the December 24th clip of Topher, often laughing when he comes up and says, "Y'all already know who I am, my name's Topher." The clip was shared on Twitter^[4] on December 26th, garnering over 13,000 likes and 170,000 views in a week. On December 30th, TikToker^[5] @shaianne24 posted a video (shown below) where she reacts to the December 24th clip of Topher, laughing when he comes up, garnering over 10.2 million views in three days. The video helped introduce new viewers to Topher and increased interest in his videos

Throughout late December 2022 and early January 2023, TikTokers continued reacting to Topher's clips and started using them in edits. On December 29th, 2022, TikToker^[6] @mayksounds posted a song remix using Topher audio, garnering over 1.3 million views in four days (shown below). The sound inspired over 700 uses in the following days, with many videos referring to "TopherTok," suggesting that Topher videos are showing up on their For Your Pages.

On December 30th, TikToker^[7] @honchoham posted an edit featuring Topher clips using the "Walter White Never Could Have Done It Without Me" sound, garnering over 3.5 million views in three days (shown below).
