Tiny Trumps is a photoshop meme featuring pictures of United States President Donald Trump dramatically reduced in size.

Origin

On February 16th, 2017, Redditor theLAZYmd submitted a photoshopped picture of a shortened Trump walking down a tarmac with two secret service agents to /r/pics,^[1] where it received more than 181,000 votes (65% upvoted) and 2,200 comments.

Precursor: Small Dads

In February 2013, Redditor afdlips uploaded a "Small Dads" Imgur album featuring several photoshopped family portraits edited to make the father appear much smaller in size in comparison to the rest of the group.(shown below).

Spread

In the comments section of the post, Redditor shm0edawg posted a variation of the photoshop with different proportions (shown below, left). That day, Redditor revolution486 launched /r/TinyTrumps^[2] for examples of the photoshop meme. Within 24 hours, the subreddit garnered upwards of 12,400 subscribers. The following day, Redditor Polymathyx submitted a photoshopped image of "Barack Obama": holding a small child with Trump's head while posing for a selfie to /r/pics,^[3] where it gained over 41,500 votes (75% upvoted) and 1,000 comments in the first two hours (shown below, right).

Meanwhile, Twitter user @fswein^[5] tweeted a photograph of a miniature Trump seated next to Obama, along with a link to the /r/TinyTrumps subreddit (shown below, left). Additionally, Twitter user @ed_son tweeted a collection of Tiny Trump photoshops with the hashtag "#TinyTrump" (shown below, right). Also on February 17th, Redditor Lufabiio reposted the photo in a post titled "TinyTrump Memes on the rise! Buy buy buy" to /r/memeeconomy,^[4] where it gathered upwards of 7,200 votes (83% upvoted) and 60 comments that day (shown below). In the coming days, several news sites published articles about the photoshop meme, including Metro,^[6] Gizmodo^[7] and Nerdcore.^[8]
