About

Tiny Rabbit Is Obsessed With Giant Girlfriend is a series of memes, including redraws, based on a 2019 article published by The Dodo about two rabbits who love each other with the headline, "Tiny Rabbit Is Obsessed With Giant Girlfriend Who's 4 Times His Size." A screenshot of the article, which features a photo of the smaller rabbit and his larger girlfriend rabbit snuggling, gained viral spread through reposts over the following years, inspiring redraws and photoshops of the image.

Origin

On February 8th, 2019, The Dodo[1] published an article titled "Tiny Rabbit Is Obsessed With Giant Girlfriend Who's 4 Times His Size." The article is about the Covelli family's two rabbits, a 16-pound Flemish named Lilly and a 4-pound rabbit named Romeo who is described as her boyfriend. Sarah Covelli is quoted as saying, “Everyone is usually taken aback by Lilly’s size, and then when they see her with Romeo, they are even more surprised. Romeo has the nickname ‘tiny husbun.’" The article explains how the two rabbits like to snuggle and how Romeo follows her everywhere (photos of Romeo and Lilly shown below).
