Time Will Pass and You'll Forget All That Was are the lyrics to the Russian song "В последний раз," aka "For The Last Time," by Ensemble Cheerful guys, which was popularized in April 2025 alongside an animation meme trend in which two characters are shown lying side-by-side while singing the song. The trend is based on an animation posted by TikToker @laughigndino in late March 2025 featuring two clowns singing the song, inspiring further animations on TikTok and art on X / Twitter in April.

On March 25th, 2025, TikToker[1] @laughigndino posted a video set to the Russian song "В последний раз"[2] showing two clowns lying side-by-side, their heads together, alternately singing the lyrics of the song, garnering over 550,000 views in three weeks. This is the earliest known example of the meme.
Spread
The trend was popularized throughout April 2025, garnering viral spread to X / Twitter. For example, on April 2nd, 2025, TikToker[3] @gumisocks posted a video following the trend that gained over 929,000 views in two weeks. On April 5th, TikToker[4] @autumncot posted a version based on Arcane that gained over 2.3 million views in two weeks.
On April 12th, TikToker[5] @trish.art_ posted a version of the meme that uses characters from the video game Fran Bow, garnering over 743,000 views in five days. On April 15th, X[6] user @xanhuyan posted a version of the meme featuring characters from the TV series Yellowjackets, garnering over 4,300 likes and 51,000 views in two days.
