Tim Cook On an iPad refers to a picture of Apple CEO Tim Cook writing the word "Hello" on an iPad. After Cook tweeted the image, Twitter users turned it into an exploitable by altering the text on the iPad.

Origin

On March 18th, 2019, Tim Cook[1] tweeted a picture of him writing the word "Hello" on an iPad Mini referencing an old Macintosh advertisement, gaining over 4,800 retweets and 30,000 likes (shown below).


Spread

Twitter users quickly turned the picture into an exploitable by altering the text on Cook's iPad. Twitter user @Coronux tweeted a Subscribe to PewDiePie joke that gained over 130 retweets and 1,900 likes (shown below, left). User @ivn_yaboy tweeted a Send Nudes edit that gained over 70 retweets and 680 likes (shown below, right).


The exploitable responses were covered by Mashable.[2] Other popular responses include tweets by @thekitze, who gained over 30 retweets and 610 likes (shown below, left), and @Dimensioner tweeted a reference to the Tim Apple that gained over 60 retweets and 770 likes (shown below, right).
