About
TikToker Kendra Hilty in Love With Her Psychiatrist Story refers to a multi-part video series from TikTok user Kendra Hilty (@kendrahilty) about her falling in love with her psychiatrist of four years. Hilty believed that she had been manipulated by her psychiatrist and positioned her story as a tale of strength and hardship, in line with the caption on Part 1, reading, "I fell in love with my psychiatrist, he knew and kept me for years until I had the strength to walk away." Hilty shared the videos in early August 2025. During that timeframe, her story amassed viral reactions and discourse from other TikTokers and Redditors as it trended online. Some championed Hilty for bravery, while others condemned her for appearing delusional and seemingly trying to harm her psychiatrist's career.
Origin
On August 2nd, 2025, TikToker[3] Kendra Hilty (@kendrahilty) posted a video in which she claimed that she fell in love with her psychiatrist and that he knew that, and he kept her for years as a patient until she was "brave enough to leave him." The video received over 25,200 likes in four days (shown below).
In the following hours, Hilty posted several videos about the psychiatrist. She eventually posted a TikTok[1] on that day that was the official "Part 1" of her story. She captioned the video, "I fell in love [with] my psychiatrist, he knew and kept me for years until I had the strength to walk away." It gained over 15,900 likes in four days (shown below).
In it, she claimed that she read a book on adult ADHD, which inspired her to book an appointment with a psychiatrist in her city. She said that at their first session, she realized that he was her age and attractive, by her standards.
Hilty continued her story in the following days, culminating in an 18-part video series, as of writing.[2] A short list of her claims includes:
- Her psychiatrist was "predatory" and that he started "leaking" his own feelings for her.[4]
- She had never seen a psychiatrist before.[5]
- He would crack jokes with her and compliment her on things like her running.[5]
- She saw him once a month.[6]
- He was really good at listening, partly due to him being a Pisces.[6]
- She got a new therapist during the timeframe who "didn't do anything" about her "obsession" with her psychiatrist.[6]
- The psychiatrist and therapist were "extracting" from her and "getting supply" from her.[6]
- The psychiatrist would be "warm" in some sessions and "cold and clinical" in others, making Hilty "work harder."[7]
- She was "fully addicted to him" and realized it when she didn't cancel an appointment with him after a severe car accident.[7]
- He "turned up the intimacy" with her after the accident.[8]
- He masked his attraction to her through professionalism by "commenting" on her appearance and not "complimenting" it.[8]
- Her psychiatrist let her talk about her sex life and didn't "pivot" from the topic.[9]
On August 4th, 2025, Kendra Hilty posted a TikTok[10] that was "Part 8" of her story, in which she addressed "nasty work" being said by users in her comment sections. She said in the video that she was going to turn off comments for the remainder of her videos on the topic of her psychiatrist story.
On August 5th, she posted "Part 18" of her story on TikTok[11] in which she claimed that she told her psychiatrist about an explicit dream she had about having sex with him in his office. She said that he appeared uncomfortable with her statement because, in her words, "he had probably played out that fantasy so many times in his head and there I was speaking it back to him."
She further claimed that the sessions got longer after her confession and, on that day, he had allegedly followed her to the door and asked, "See you next month?" In a day, the video gained over 4,300 likes (shown below).
