Origin
On March 27th, 2022, TikToker[1] @djrog1998 posted a video where he mashes up Taylor Swift's "Come Back…Be Here" and Cali Swag District's "Teach Me How To Dougie," using the Taylor Swift song in the first half and the Cali Swag District song in the latter half, captioning the video, "Mashups that shouldn't work." The video gained over a million views in just over a month (shown below). The remix was reuploaded to YouTube[5] on April 19th, gaining over 97,000 views in two weeks.

In April 2022, TikTokers then began using the sound in skits and dance videos. For example, on April 8th, TikToker[2] @kayla.ann.xoxo posted a video where she describes how different types of strippers pick up money, gaining over 13 million views in a month (shown below).
The most prominent trend has TikTokers present a potentially life-changing or stressful situation via an on-screen caption over the first half, then present the situation's positive outcome over the second half while dancing over the "Teach Me How To Dougie" beat. For example, on April 9th, 2022, TikToker[3] @livandcade posted a video about Cade finding out his wife is bisexual, gaining over 2 million views in a month (shown below, left). On April 19th, TikToker[4] @theoliviaaustin posted a video captioned "nervous about our parents meeting," followed by a clip of their parents dancing together, gaining over 6 million views in two weeks (shown below, right). On May 3rd, Distractify[6] published an article on the trend.
