There's No Way Duets is a series of TikTok Duets in which TikTokers act out scenarios which would warrant TikTok user @MiaTomeo and her parent's surprised and emotional reaction. @MiaTomeo's original video from December 2019 features herself and her parents receiving a college acceptance letter.

Origin

On December 20th, 2019, @MiaTomeo uploaded a video in which her and her parents discover that she was accepted to Tulane University (shown below).^[1] The video has gained over 4.9 million likes in two weeks.

Spread

On December 21st, 2019, TikToker @aaron.ps posted a duet with @miatomeo captioned "Me drinking water for the first time in a week" (show below, left). The video received over 108,200 likes in two weeks. The next day, TikToker @barlowkevin88 posted another duet in which he cleans the toilet after using it which accumulated over 131,300 likes in two weeks (shown below, center). On December 28th, TikToker @lalamilan uploaded a video captioned "was trying to show them how to cook chicken." The video garnered over 349,900 likes (shown below, right).
