He Is Wearing AirPods

In this version of the meme, various characters were prevented from hearing about an incoming danger due to having AirPods on, while the "incoming truck" theme was abandoned.

On December 29th, 2018, Instagram user Crust.mp4[3] posted one of the earliest known examples of this variation of the meme, while also referencing Ben Shapiro, Sal Volcano and The Lion Sleeps Tonight memes. The post gained over 270,000 views in three weeks.

In January 2019, several notable examples of this meme variation appeared on Instagram and Reddit[4].
