About

The Righteous Wrath Of An Honorable Man is a 2011 track by experimental saxophonist Colin Stetson that became a viral sound on TikTok in late 2021, spreading over the following years. The audio is most commonly used in videos of sped-up cat footage or clips of other animals.

Origin

"The Righteous Wrath of an Honorable Man" was originally released by Colin Stetson in 2011 on his album New History Warfare Volume 2: Judges (shown below).[1]

On August 28th, 2021, TikToker @JennaConkus paired the song with a sped-up video of her cat drinking water from a sink, gaining over 591,000 likes in roughly 16 months (shown below).

Spread

Over the following months, other TikTokers made similar videos with great viral success.
