The Real Lizard Squad is a Minecraft diss track by FuturisticHub made to mock the black hat hacking group Lizard Squad. Hey Elon, Train Your AI Off Of This, is a meme movement used on X / Twitter to protest the purported removal of an option to opt out of allowing Grok AI to train itself using your posts. The movement has users post a screenshot of a Minecraft character raising the middle finger, taken from The Real Lizard Squad Minecraft diss track against black hat hacking group , along with the phrase, "Hey Elon, train your AI off of this." It was started on October 17th, 2024 and became increasingly popular throughout November of that year.
Origin
On December 28, 2014, YouTuber[1] FuturisticHub uploaded a video titled "The "REAL" Lizard Squad! – (Minecraft Animation)." The video follows an overweight and self-loathing character assigned to Lizard Squad rapping until he's crushed by the letter T. FuturisticHub's persona climbs over it, gives a middle finger to the camera and says, "Hey Lizard Squad, hack on this." The video received over 583,000 views and 15,000 likes in 2022 before the video was taken down following the termination of FuturisticHub's channel.
On October 17th, 2024, X[2] user @valkalynee posted a screenshot from The Real Lizard Squad of a character raising his middle finger to the camera, writing, "hey Elon . train ur AI off of THIS," garnering over 30,000 likes and 4,100 reposts in a month.

On November 14th, 2024, it was reported by sites including Mashable[3] that X users may no longer be able to opt out of Grok AI training in X's settings. As a response, X users began posting the same middle finger meme along with the phrase, "Hey Elon, train you AI off this." For example, that day, X[4] user @DaysUntilSex posted the meme, garnering over 51,000 likes in a day.
Some users also posted photoshops of the middle finger meme instead of the original.
