The Most Successful People I've Met refers to a snowclone popular on Twitter making fun of a checklist given by a self-described "crypto-capitalist" describing what successful people do. In the parodies, people alter what appears in the list.

On June 10th, 2018 Twitter user @APompliano,[1] a self-described "crypto capitalist hell-bent on tokenizing the world," tweeted a checklist of things titled "The Most Successful People I've Met," gaining over 6,700 retweets and 23,000 likes (shown below).

The tweet began being mocked days after it was initially posted. One of the first popular tweets to mock it was posted June 12th, 2018 by @ADAlthousePhD, gaining over 300 retweets and 1,400 likes (shown below, left). The following day, Pixelated Boat tweeted a parody that gained over 900 retweets and 8,700 likes (shown below, right).



On June 14th, more parodies began appearing, leading to coverage from Twitter Moments[2] and Daily Dot.[3] Other popular parodies include a tweet by @TechnicallyRon, gaining 2,800 retweets and 13,000 likes (shown below, left). User @nalsa wrote the lyrics to "Never Gonna Give You Up" in his parody, gaining over 270 retweets and 1,400 likes (shown below, right).
