On March 30th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @thatgirlsydjo posted a video showing a group of girlfriends as they react and conspire to avoid their friend Haley's boyfriend Justin joining their girls' night dinner plans. The video gathered over 29 million plays and 3.8 million likes in a week.

Sydney Robinson released more parts to her Group Chat saga in April 2025, gathering over 16 million views and 2.4 million likes on a video^[2] posted on April 1st. The video showed the group of friends discovering that Haley had changed the reservation to include Justin weeks prior to ever telling her friends she was bringing him.

On April 2nd, @thatgirlsydjo posted Part 3 of her Group Chat series,^[3] showing Haley trying to reconcile with her friends and change the location of the dinner. The video gathered over 14 million views and 1.9 million likes in a week.

On April 6th, 2025, @thatgirlsydjo posted the much-anticipated Part 4 to her Group Chat series,^[4] showing the group of girlfriends reaching their dinner spot, only to find out that Justin was aware that they were dining at the same restaurant he was at with another girl. The video gathered over 10.5 million views and 1.6 million likes, with some comments discussing whether Justin's voice-over was done by singer Charlie Puth.
