The Entire Story of Clarence In 43 Minutes! is a viral video explaining the plot of the animated series Clarence, which inspired a redraw trend on X / Twitter in late May 2024. The video was uploaded to YouTube by JarToon in August 2023 and its thumbnail, which shows a regular drawing of Clarence next to a more edgy drawing of Clarence, became the subject of redraws in late May 2024 after it was posted to X by a user who encouraged others to draw their OC and comfort characters over the Clarences.

On August 18th, 2023, YouTuber^[1] JarToon posted a video titled "The ENTIRE Story of Clarence in 43 Minutes!" which explains the plot of the animated series Clarence, garnering over 5.6 million views in 10 months (shown below).

On May 27th, 2024, X^[2] user @m0nacrose posted, "I wish 'draw ur oc in this' stuff had more variations that aren't just straight up ugly ass lingerie," garnering over 16,000 likes in a week. On May 28th, X^[3] user @Swag_K1RBY quote-reposted the post with a screenshot of the "The ENTIRE Story of Clarence" thumbnail, writing, "Draw your OC/Comfort Character in this," garnering over 10,000 likes and 1,300 reposts in a week (shown below).
