On November 25th, 2017, an episode of Sarap Diva aired on the Filipino television network GMA Network, in which the Reina Ultima Universa Diva 2017, a beauty pageant, was held between three female contestants. One of the contestants, named Adelantada, was asked, "What is your biggest mistake?" in one segment. She replied, "The biggest beef steak…"^[1][2]

On November 25th, GMA Network shared the clip to its YouTube^[2] channel, gaining over 229,300 views in eight years.

On June 18th, 2024, YouTuber^[3] @Jeniee_TV shared the clip as a Short, gaining over 218,600 views and 8,500 likes in a year.

On August 29th, TikToker^[5] @hairyasshole30 shared the clip with a text overlay caption reading, "Me because all my fatass thinks about is food." The video received over 292,400 likes in a year.

On September 3rd, TikToker^[6] @d3fuk shared the original clip and added a text overlay caption, reading, "Me the period before lunch because that's the only thing I can think about." Over one year, the video gained roughly 458,800 likes.

On September 14th, TikToker^[7] @_junweiii posted a video of two people recreating the viral video by passing a microphone between each other and mimicking the dialogue. Over one year, the video received roughly 337,500 likes.

For instance, on September 20th, TikToker^[8] @thatsiah shared a video using the original audio, in which he lip dubbed Adelantada's quote with a text overlay caption reading, "Me because my AirPods have been on 100% volume since they released." The video gained over 1.7 million likes in a month.

On October 11th, TikToker^[4] @username51728631 shared a video of a teacher asking an almost empty classroom, "What is your biggest mistake?" A lone student in the back of the room raises his hand and says, "The biggest beef steak." Over two days, the TikTok received roughly 2.1 million likes.
