On April 22nd, 2019, at a CNN Town Hall event at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar explained her campaign process in the past (clip below). At one point, when she described winning in a congressional district that had elected Republicans, she said, "That's when you guys are supposed to cheer, OK?"

Following the post, people began spreading the video on social media. Daily Wire reporter Ryan Saavedra tweeted, "Democrat presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar has to tell CNN's audience to 'cheer' for her after she said that she won in Michele Bachmann's district." The tweet received more than 380 retweets and 830 likes in 24 hours (shown below).


Others compared the moment to the Jeb Bush "Please Clap" moment from the 2016 election. Twitter user @bubbaprog tweeted the video with the caption "Please clap." The post received 430 retweets and 1,800 likes in 24 hours (shown below).
