That's That Me Espresso is a catchphrase from American pop star Sabrina Carpenter's song "Espresso," released in April 2024. The song's chorus "Say you can't sleep, baby, I know, That's that me espresso" came to be used as a viral catchphrase soon after the song's release, with people being endeared by the catchy lyric. Memes about "me espresso" were shared on X, Instagram and TikTok.
Origin
On April 12th, 2024, Sabrina Carpenter released her song "Espresso," which gathered over 16 million views on YouTube[1] in three weeks. The song contains the lyrics, "Say you can't sleep, Baby I know, That's that me espresso."
On April 14th, X[2] user @wine13hotel reposted a video previously posted by @fairysabrinas,[3] gathering over 11,000 likes on a home video redubbed to look like three little girls are dancing to "Espresso."

On April 26th, 2024, X[4] user @DavidADC posted a meme using the line, "I'm working late, 'cus I'm a singer," from "Espresso," gathering over 24,000 likes in a week (seen below, left).
Also on April 26th, 2024, X[5] user @perpetua made a post commending the lyricism in "Espresso," writing, ""that's that me espresso" is a perfect pop lyric – weird syntax, a strange way of expressing an already peculiar sentiment, it tickles the brain in a way that makes the hook even catchier – much more musical and interesting than all the thudding literalism of contemporary lyrics." The post gathered over 6,000 likes in a week (seen below, right).
On May 1st, 2024, Instagram[6] satire page @Reductress posted an image that read, "Why I Stopped Saying Sorry And Started Saying 'That's That Me Espresso,'" gathering over 70,000 like in two days (seen below, left).
On May 2nd, Instagram[7] page @rolldepan posted a screenshot of several Grindr message's going unresponded, with each message corresponding to a pop song popular with the LGBTQ+ community. The post gathered over 10,000 likes in a day (seen below, right).
