That's It. That's the Tweet. is a frequently used reaction catchphrase on the social network Twitter. People use the expression as a form of obvious praise to which no further explanation is needed.

Origin

The earliest known usage of the expression was posted by Twitter[1] user @jermeysandwich on July 3rd, 2010. They wrote, "there's a 'rough' family living two doors down. that's it, that's the tweet" (shown below).

Spread

While the catchphrase continued to be used over the next few years, it was not until 2014 that tweets using it began to gain viral traction. On December 20th, 2014, Twitter[2] user @succuIent's tweeted, "i know it's hard sometimes but always try to do things with a kind heart and the best intentions and stuff… that's it that's the tweet." The post received more than 370 likes and 175 retweets in five years (shown below).



On December 30th, 2018, Twitter[3] user @BTSRuinLives tweeted, "WE DON'T DESERVE PARK JIMIN. that’s it. that’s the tweet." The tweet received more than 8,000 likes and 5,000 retweets in less than one year (shown below, left).

On August 4th, 2019, Twitter[4] user @harleivy tweeted about Brie Larson's appearance in the film Avengers: Engame. Within 24 hours, the tweet received more than 11,000 likes and 2,400 retweets (shown below, right).
